Google Rushes to Catch Up in the AI Race
Google has recently taken steps to keep up with OpenAI’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) advancements. After its initial attempt with Bard failed, Google decided to introduce new ways of summarising and generating text with AI in Docs. This new feature is expected to be available in the US by the end of this month.
How Does AI Work in Workspace?
The AI-enabled workspace suite comes with a range of features that can help users generate emails on Gmail and create images, videos, and audio for presentations on slides. Moreover, it will also produce automated notes during meetings on Meet. The AI writing tool allows users to generate text automatically once they type some words related to their topic. Users then have the option to edit and refine this generated text with more suggestions from the AI system – all within seconds! Johanna Voolich Wright, VP of product at Google Workspace stated: „AI is no replacement for Ingenuity, creativity, and the smarts of real people.“
OpenAI launched ChatGPT a conversational bot back in 2023 which caused Google to take action as well and come up with a new tactic when it came down to Artificial Intelligence technology.
Google initially made an attempt at Artificial Intelligence with Bard but it was tepid which urged them into making further efforts into developing better output when it came down to Artificial Intelligence technology .
Introduction Of Generative Technology
This led them into introducing generative technologies that allow developers to build genapps securely while ensuring safety , security and privacy across multiple platforms like Workspace , Slides , Docs , Sheets , Meet and Mail .
